About College and Career Cafe
Hi, I'm Carrie. For twenty years I worked in Oregon public schools, first supporting special education students and then as th College and Career Specialist at two of the largest high schools in the Beaverton School District. I've helped hundreds of students and families through college applications, FAFSA, and scholarships, as well as apprenticeships, and job searches. I've seen how overwhelming it can feel, especially for first-generation families and students who learn differently.
I started the College and Career Cafe so every family can get the kind of guidance I gave in my school's college and career center: honest, practical, and focused on the path that fits your student, not someone else's idea of success. Pull up a chair. Let's figure out what's next together.
